In 1985 Paul Davis Systems Canada, an independent Canadian organization, was launched and has operated and grown over the last twenty one years.

PDS of Winnipeg was founded in 1997 as a property insurance restoration company servicing the Province of Manitoba. Dale Dublin agreed with PDS’s recognition that insurers were tired of dealing with contractors who were quick to take advantage of both the homeowner and the insurance company.

PDS’s business strategy is unusual because it chose to represent the insurer’s interest by providing good workmanship to property owners, fair compensation to trades people and excellent service to the insurance companies – all within a consistent pricing structure utilizing a computerized integrated business format, including standardized estimating and job-cost systems.

As well, PDS with its franchise concept also initiated the introduction of a democratic franchise council structure. This structure provides an innovative “partnership” approach which requires that the franchisor and a majority of the franchise operators must agree on major program changes to the operations manual before they can be implemented.

PDS also introduced Completion Services, Inc. (CSI). As an independent corporation funded by the franchisees, CSI guarantees all jobs are completed and all warranty work is performed. Paul Davis Systems is the only restoration company to date to provide this level of protection and peace of mind.

Today, the name Paul Davis Systems of Winnipeg is recognized as one of Manitoba’s leading full-service mitigation, restoration and reconstruction companies belonging to a network with 35 locations across Canada and 215 locations in the United States and growing!
